A forwarded message from Tsem Rinpoche

This dog was born on Christmas Eve in the year 2002. He was born with 2 legs - He of course could not walk when he was born. Even his mother did not want him.

His first owner also did not think that he could survive and he was thinking of 'putting him to sleep'.
But then, his present owner, Jude Stringfellow, met him and wanted to take care of him. She became determined to teach and train this little dog to walk by himself.

She named him 'Faith'.

In the beginning, she put Faith on a surfboard to let him feel the movement. Later she used peanut butter on a spoon as a lure and reward for him for standing up and jumping around. Even the other dog at home encouraged him to walk. Amazingly, only after 6 months, like a miracle, Faith learned to balance on his hind legs and to jump to move forward. After further training in the snow, he could now walk like a human being.

Faith loves to walk around now.

No matter where he goes, he attracts people to him. He is fast becoming famous on the international scene and has appeared on various newspapers and TV shows.

There is now a book entitled 'With a Little Faith' being published about him. He was even considered to appear in one of Harry Potter movies.

His present owner Jude Stringfellew has given up her teaching post and plans to take him around the world to preach that even without a perfect body, one can have a perfect soul'.

In life there are always undesirable things, so in order to feel better you just need to look at life from another direction. I hope this message will bring fresh new ways of thinking to everyone and that everyone will appreciate and be thankful for each beautiful day. Faith is the continual demonstration of the strength and wonder of life.

The Power of Tsongkhapa

Bad energy in a house can be corrected by putting a Tsongkapa statue or painting. Carrying a Tsongkapa chakra protects you from you & others.

My October books...

Just got back from my monthly trip to Kinokuniya. Got my comics, 20th Century Boys(Vol.5) and Pluto(Vol.4). Also additional 2 books for Sherry, O Magazine - Dream Big Edition and Angelina Jolie's - Notes from My Travels.

Be Kind & Love Your Spouse

Choosing to be unfaithful to your spouse is consciously choosing the karma to be alone, feel lonely & controlled by desires. Choosing to be unfaithful to your spouse also sends a clear message to your children not to respect you and also to grow and 'do the same'. Choosing to be unfaithful to your spouse is sending a message that you have no honour, integrity & your promises mean very little. Don't go that way.
"If poverty & financial problems has a cause, it must be stealing or deception. So you know the eventual results NO MATTER HOW ROSY IT SEEMS NOW."
Be honest & kind to your spouse. This is the one person that has shared all your ups and downs. The one person closest to you after your parents... be honest, open & sincere with your spouse at all times. They want the same things as you. So give them what you want to receive from them.
"People are very creative to cover up ill motivations. Very well 'trained'. It would be better to retrain skillful beneficial actions to others."
Reward your spouse with love, gifts, kindness because you have not been the easiest person to be with. If you hurt your spouse, you have hurt the whole world. Being capable of hurting someone so close to you, means you are capable of it to anyone. Hurting your spouse purposely makes possibility for happiness in a partnership more and more difficult. Why? Results resembles causes always.

If you want a spouse. Choose to be kind. If you don't want to be kind, don't even consider having a spouse. Why join with someone to hurt them? Your spouse is the best person to practice humanity with. Why? kindness & patience starts AT HOME WITH THE PERSON CLOSEST TO YOU.

To achieve Happiness!

"Do you want to be happy? Then transform. Do you want to be unhappy? Then don't transform.

Do you enjoy bringing unhappiness to yourself & others? Then why create the causes?

If you don't like the way people treat you, then change the way you treat them immediately.

When people have to repeat to you what is obvious & clear, it doesn't mean you don't hear them, it just means you choose not to.

Choosing not to benefit others is consciously choosing more unhappiness.

Choosing to create pain for others is consciously wishing to take rebirth in the three lower realms.

Choosing to lie & deceive others is consciously wishing others not to respect you or value your speech."

Law Abiding Citizen

Quite fun and entertaining! When injustice is done to a desperate man... anything can happen. WARNING to those in the system that has done injustice!

The plot focuses on a man who, ten years after his wife and daughter are brutally murdered, returns to extract justice from the assistant district attorney who prosecuted the case against their killers. His vengeance threatens not only the man who allowed mercy to supersede justice, but also the system and the city that made it so. Written by The Film Department

Kindness To Animals

On the 24th Oct, I went to Kechara House(KH) to participate in the Long Life birthday puja. Around 400 people turned up.

So I gave a Dharma talk & I also mentioned that i would like a land to start an animal shelter. I explained where and why. I have started the momentum going to have a shelter. I am very much looking into an animal shelter as one of the departments of KH and also to educate the public THAT ANIMALS ARE NOT JUST FOOD.

I will be speaking more & more regarding animal shelter. Will have school field trips to create awareness of KINDNESS TO ANIMALS from young age.

It bothers me tremendously to see animals abused, hurt, abandoned, killed, eaten. It tears my heart out. I need to do something. I WILL.

Stray Dog by Akira Kurosawa

Last night watched Stray Dog by Akira Kurosawa. A black & white movie made in 1949. Just love old movies especially from Akira.

Synopsis

A bad day gets worse for young detective Murakami when a pickpocket steals his gun on a hot, crowded bus. Desperate to right the wrong, he goes undercover, scavenging Tokyo’s sweltering streets for the stray dog whose desperation has led him to a life of crime. With each step, cop and criminal’s lives become more intertwined and the investigation becomes an examination of Murakami’s own dark side. Starring Toshiro Mifune, as the rookie cop, and Takashi Shimura, as the seasoned detective who keeps him on the right side of the law, Stray Dog (Nora Inu) goes beyond a crime thriller, probing the squalid world of postwar Japan and the nature of the criminal mind.

Take Dharma as 'supplements' to your daily life!!!

Don't be a ridiculous outcast of society once you do Dharma. Eat well, go dancing, make money, wear nice clothes, gold jewellery is fine, have relationships, have a drink sometimes, visit the amusement park, love a pet, have dinners with friends, go to movies, crack jokes, celebrate Halloween, get an education, do business, look at beautiful men or women, be a nerd, be a star, listen to Madonna's music, go clubbing, party, celebrate life, do projects, travel, change the color of your hair, eat unhealthy food sometimes, and whatever else you like that doesn't hurt others, don't break the law, don't destroy environment.

It is ok to be you. You don't have to trade YOU IN for Dharma. Dharma practice, study, work & activity IS TO BE INCORPORATED INTO YOUR LIVES. It is not meant to make you 'lose' your life and you just become some kind of weird bum, hippy, ascetic that is renounced to the point of smelling like rotting garbage with fleas in your hair!!! For Dharma, there is very little outer transformation that is important. It is much more the inner.

Everyone one of you are unique, fun, fascinating individuals that have a culture and life before you came across Dharma. So you don't need to give up WHO YOU ARE TO practice Dharma. Dharma is to be incorporated into your life, your culture, your identity. Because the actual Dharma is timeless and free of any worldly constraints. Do not fear entering Dharma thinking you will lose yourself. You should be like a mother not losing a beloved daughter to someone , but gaining a wonderful son from her daughter's marriage. So that is important for many would be people who wish to engage in any form of Buddhism.

Beautiful zen tradition, sacred Mahayana tradition, illustrious Theravada tradition, the profound Tibetan tradition with all four schools, or any other form of Buddhism is totally fine. YOU ADD BUDDHIST PRACTICE AND SPIRITUALITY TO WHO YOU ARE AND WHERE YOU COME FROM.

You wear your clothes, eat your food, and be comfortable to your style of living. Just add Buddha, Dharma and Sangha to your rich lives. And that is perfectly fine for beginners, and so on.

Relax. Be comfortable. Don't reject who you are to be a 'pure Buddhist'. Because that is not true. You, your culture, and what you are use to are fine.

The doctrine of Dharma can be adaptable to any culture, any people, in any part of the world. Dharma would even be good for aliens and martians!! It's universal from all points. I get many questions regarding this over the years. So I thought I'd share this from my humble experiences as a teacher for the last 20 years.

I hope my words, thoughts, & line of thinking helps. I offer my good wishes.

My 1st entry...

After much thinking whether to start blogging or not, Sherry(my wife) started her own tarot-ing blog and after helping her with some settings and etc.,....

...here's my own, just try and see how far it goes. It's going to be happenings around us and besides that, maybe some of my interest on Buddhism and spirituality.

Actually i was thinking more of my precious Guru, H. E. Tsem Tulku Rinpoche. Rinpoche is the spiritual teacher of Kechara, a Buddhist organisation based in PJ, Malaysia. I'm not going to write all the details here, check out this links on Kechara and Tsem Tulku Rinpoche.

I'm going to reproduce some of Rinpoche's teachings here from the website and also from Rinpoche's tweets that i've been re-tweeting for a while now. It's going to be fun!!!

May whatever being blogged here is a benefit to all in any way.
